Blargh!

Hello and welcome to my site, a dumping ground for thoughts, feelings and hopefully the early documentations of a fruitful writing career. Or something to that effect…hell, I’d take a single story sale at this point.

Over the past number of years I’ve spent considerable time studying the craft of writing. I’ve hoovered every article, podcast, book – to the point where I’ve reached a kind of critical mass. The only way for me to improve as a writer is to actually write – that’s right people, real fingers on keyboard type stuff.

The problem is, it’s easier said than done for someone like me whose fiction writing muscles are flaccid…but I’m working on it!

I’ve formerly done some freelance writing and maintained two long-running blogs related to my experiences living and teaching english in China. I can bang out a ridiculous number of words when putting them into the various forums and subreddits, but fiction? Forgetaboutit.

This website is about my capturing my own writers journey along with thoughts on this that and everything else. Please feel welcome to leave a comment – particularly if you’re suffering the same should_be_writing_but_is_reading_reddit pain as I 🙂
